I have always been passionate about food and cooking, and after 37 years as an Officer in the RAF, have experienced a high level of cuisine in that time. Whilst my own cooking has been to a good standard, I wanted to take it to the next level in terms of breadth, flavour and style. Prior to retirement, I attended the Ashburton Chef’s Academy in Devon, gaining qualifications in Culinary Arts and Fine Dining with the aim of being able to take the fine dining experience to others. This allowed me to learn the required skills and gain experience of fine dining cookery.
As an RAF flying instructor for most of my career, I also have a passion for teaching, so a secondary aim of mine is to be able to share my knowledge of cooking with others, whether that is how to cook a basic but impressive dish with little experience, or to refine a particular skill, technique or cuisine.
I set up Fine Dining at Home to fulfil both those aims, bringing fine dining to your own home, whether that is for an intimate dinner party for 2, a more relaxed dinner for a group of friends, or a practical tutorial in my fully equipped kitchen. I can also come to you and teach you in the comfort of your own home.
I am based in the market town of Wem in Shropshire, but able to travel a reasonable distance within the county. Should you wish to travel to Wem for any of my tutorials, there is a varied selection of good accommodation available locally.
If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch so that we can discuss your requirements. I aim to be flexible and to tailor the service and experience to fully meet your needs.
